Senior Marketing Executive
I joined BBI in 2015 as Marketing Assistant and I’m now a Senior Marketing Executive.
I was keen to work at BBI because they seemed a progressive company, with lots of exciting expansion plans in a growing industry. I really liked the idea of what our products get used for and the overall benefit they provide to healthcare worldwide.
From a marketing perspective, I could see that it was a vital and appreciated function within the organisation.
A day at BBI for me can be very varied, which is one of the reasons I love my job. I like the fact that I can be creative and strategic at the same time. My role sees me working closely with our product management and sales teams. One day I might be designing a new brochure, the next I will be planning a tradeshow on the other side of the world or launching a new biomarker that can be used in a diagnostic assay for a deadly infectious disease. However, behind all this activity there is always a strategic plan that aligns with our business goals.
Life at BBI is fast paced, it requires energy and adrenaline, but it’s always worthwhile when you look back and see what you’ve achieved.
I think the fact that our global footprint provides no barriers is also quite an exciting prospect at BBI. My manager is based in the US, and I work with people from all over the world, as well as having a great team around me at our headquarters in Crumlin.
I hope to become a Marketing Manager at BBI soon. I have a personal career development plan in place and I’m very grateful for the recent investment that BBI has put into me, by sending me on courses that will help me to reach my goal.
In the short time I have been at BBI, I have already seen the company grow and expand, I’m looking forward to continuing that journey, and excited to see what the future may hold.
